I'm interested in set dec, props, lighting, and writing for film! My experience comes from these areas as well as a desire to see what more they offer. I feel my time in the Film and Video Production program has been very beneficial in giving me experience and drawing in my interest. The projects I have worked on have given me a well rounded sense of knowledge and understanding of working in film and I'm looking forward to exploring areas I haven't had the opportunity to yet.

Jessika Dupuis
Hi! My name is Jess and I really enjoy being able to be a supportive role on sets. My experience in film so far is in roles like 1st AD and Producer, which I have a growing passion for. I love and appreciate being able to help people realize their dreams/goals, and being able to support my fellow filmmakers in this is extremely fulfilling. I never thought I would enjoy the stress and long hours, but here I am, craving more and pursuing it as a career. Learning the technical aspects at school was definitely important, but finding my passion and voice has been the most beneficial part of my education at SAIT.

Karl Groves
Hello! I’m Karl Groves, the strange guy in your computer screen right now. What can I say except I liked Fight Club a little too much and ended up here! I’m truly down to try anything, and have had a great time editing, production designing, and directing. As I believe it - something special can be made of any project, and it is my personal mission to find that thing, underline it thrice, add some polish, and make sure it darn well sparkles.

Hudson Hayward
My time at Sait has allowed me to hone my skills as a film maker and find my particular passions in this field. Particularly I've honed in on producing, art department and editing. I make sure to put as much as I can in every production and hope that my skills can be used to the best of their abilities. I enjoy leading projects and guiding the process at every stage of the way. With that I put everything I had into Eye Auton as producer and it was the panicle of my Sait experience. I hope that moving forward from this program I can continue to put my knowledge and passions to use and continue to make some cool things.

Logan Hicks
Hey! My name is Logan Xaiver Hicks (some people call me Hoagie), I've been making films for almost 7 years now with a couple of shorts, docs and a Goofy No-Budget feature length Action Comedy called “Wrath of the Albino panther” which I Wrote, and Directed under my belt. I consider myself first and foremost a storyteller. I came here to learn more about the business, maybe find a way in; but more important than that for me, I found my voice and a deeper understanding of the stories I wish to tell. I love to write and direct but the most important part of this experience was collaboration and meeting like minded storytellers and artists as well as helping them bring their unique visions to life. I hope you enjoy the screening and get to take some of these ideas and stories home with you! Take it easy and Cheers!

Hayden Hoey
I'm Hayden Hoey, an editor/VFX artist that has also written and directed my own films! I've been editing for many years, starting out as a hobby and has now grown into my chosen career path. I'm also skilled in VFX, bringing scenes to life with the biggest explosions and subtlest of details. I started my journey doing lightsaber VFX on Adobe After Effects, but as I've progressed I've learned it's the subtle things that amplify a film! I enjoy making these scenes come to life through VFX and watching directors/producers get excited when their film is brought to life! I hope to pursue VFX as a career as well, and I look forward to learning more as my skills continue to develop! I love delving into the weird, getting ALL KINDS of weird exploring strange concepts and ideas. I've done alot of writing and my strengths lean heavily towards comedy and action/adventure films. The goal with my films is to inspire creativity and create adventures that delve into uncharted territory. I love making people laugh, but I also enjoy creating worlds for audiences to get lost in and characters for people to cherish! I've written and directed a few Star Wars fan shorts, as well as some productions at SAIT! Directing Spork Knight was the perfect opportunity to dive into a bizarre creative space, allowing for an amazing short to be made! I hope Spork Knight inspires future SAIT students to not shy away from creating ambitious projects, tackling the challenge head on letting their creativity shine!
