Jasmine Aiken

Jasmine got into filmmaking because she wanted to tell stories, and help make them for people to consume. Although she originally wrote just fiction, she was soon brought into the world of filmmaking, and fell in love with it. Falling in love with the visuals, the collaboration, and just everything within it, she decided to take a chance and learn something that she was passionate about. And since attending SAIT, she has developed this passion into a future career. With the organization aspect of filmmaking catching her eye, she has learnt how essential communication and collaboration are in order to make the best product possible, in a safe and timely manner. Her experience being a 1st AD on multiple film sets has allowed her to discover and grow a passion for it, and has plans to work at a production office after she graduates, starting off as an office PA. In the distant future, she would like to produce stories, become a producer, and maybe write something as well.

Her favourite movie is Alice in Wonderland (1951), and her favourite director is Taika Waititi. She also idolizes Hayao Miyazaki's storytelling ability.
