Rhiannon Evans

Rhiannon was in theatre before attending SAIT, and wanting to open some more doors for herself, she was inspired to take film. She always liked telling stories and found that film was just another medium to tell them in. She hopes that she can make more documentaries in the future, as she had a really fun time Directing ‘Life's a Drag’ this year. She would also like to possibly take the documentary and turn it into a series in the future. Rhiannon often finds herself leaning more towards being a 1st AD on productions, and she can see herself pursuing that role in the future. Although she doesn’t have any concrete plans after she graduates, she hopes to be working in the industry, whatever that may look like.

Rhiannon’s favourite movie is The Breakfast Club (1985), with her favourite director being John Hughes. She also idolizes Taika Waititi and Greta Gerwig.

“I hope you all enjoy the awesome films we've worked so hard on this past year!”
