Hannah has always wanted to do something creative with her career, and this program was the perfect way for her to explore what a job in the industry would be like. Being raised on movies, she cherishes the memories of weekly trips to Blockbuster with her parents, and having the chance to be a part of a process she’s admired for so long, was an easy choice for her to make. With a love of visual arts, Hannah has found that above all else, she loves being behind the camera and creating her own kind of art from there, and intends on establishing herself and her style in that way. Although she doesn’t consider herself to be a very tech-savvy person, she quickly found herself eagerly wanting to learn how cameras work, and ultimately hopes to do some sort of related work in that department in the future. Since attending SAIT, she has gained a new appreciation for the huge amount of time and effort that goes into making films, and will be leaving with more dedication than ever to continue building her skills as she works within the industry after graduation.
Hannah’s favourite movies are Alien (1979) and Boogie Nights (1997), with her favourite director being Denis Villeneuve, a Canadian icon. She also idolizes Wes Anderson and Adam Stockhausen, as they are an amazing and unique filmmaking team, and she has so much respect for how unapologetic they are when it comes to style.
“I got to know some pretty amazing people in this program, and am very excited to continue working with them in the future! All is Chaos!”
