Flipping the Script explores the benefits of gymnastics on athletes’ physical and mental well-being while focusing on the importance of creating an inclusive environment within the sport to make it accessible for people of all abilities and ages. This documentary aims to influence viewers to learn more about this amazing sport and even become involved themselves. We hear narrations by coaches and athletes from CAPTivate gymnastics, an adult gymnastics club based in Calgary, attesting to the impact that the sport has had on their adult lives.
Visually, we will see the beauty of gymnastics as we watch gymnasts training and working with their coaches. We will explore the gym environment and experience the team aspect of
gymnastics that CAPTivate brings to life and that makes gymnastics such an extraordinary sport.
